The Burden of Administrative Work in General Practice

GPs in Flanders are required to generate SOEP (Subjective, Objective, Evaluation, and Plan) reports for every consultation. These reports must include medical coding such as ICPC-2 and SNOMED CT, ensuring structured and standardized electronic patient records. However, with 20 to 30 consultations per day, the administrative workload is overwhelming.
